Pasha centres will from October be part of the Intel® She Will Connect program which aims at getting more women to utilize technology and the internet. Through the Pasha Centres we aim to have 10 thousand girls and women trained in 2014. A total number of 35 pasha centres are earmarked for the initiative which fulfils ICT Authority quest to drive traffic to the digital villages.
Others partners are Rockefeller Foundation and Safari Connect who will avail possible opportunities towards employment and income generation post the digital literacy training. ICT Authority is extending their support through the Business Development Consultants, The Youth Banner.
In the past ICT Authority through Pashas partnered with Intel in the Digital Literacy and Entrepreneurship training (Intel Learn Easy Steps) that they extend to the community members at a minimal fee. This course is a self-sustaining course where they will charge for the training to sustain themselves.
